Speed51.com, “The Official Site of Smyrna Speedweeks” for the 10th straight year, announced today that its coverage of Florida Speedweeks in February will be presented by JEGS, Performance Parts.
“Florida Speedweeks is one of the most exciting weeks of racing and Speed51.com is the leader in providing information to the short track racing community,” said Scott Woodruff, Director of Media and Motorsports Marketing for JEGS.
“I’ve know the Coughlin family (owners of JEGS) for a long time and they are all class-act,” said Bob Dillner, owner of Speed51.com. “JEGS has ‘What you want, when you want it.’ That’s the same credo we live by at Speed51.com for the short track racers and fans alike.”
JEGS has always been a leader in performance parts for your car or truck, and certainly within the drag racing ranks. This year, JEGS is putting a spotlight on its circle track market.
“We are very excited as a company and a family to take a more active role in the circle track market. We have recently added a number of pages to our catalog to reflect our increased commitment to the circle track racing community,” explained Woodruff. “We have added new vendors and have expanded existing vendor relationships. Our goal at JEGS is to have what you want, at the price you want to pay and we back it up with the best customer service in the business. We are racers ourselves and we understand how important it is to get what you want in a timely fashion. Orders placed by 9 pm (ET) will go out same day. Now that is commitment and that is what JEGS is all about.”
“The Coughlin’s have been winners in the drag racing ranks for years. Recently they have worked with winning circle track racers such as Gary St. Amant, Kenny Wallace and Landon Cassill,” added Dillner, who is also a NASCAR TV commentator for SPEED. “Now, we at Speed51.com want to spread the word that JEGS is serious about its oval track market. Their products are track tested because they race what they sell and that’s important for anyone looking to purchase parts for their racecars. We hope racers appreciate the support JEGS is giving Speed51.com, to enable us to bring all the news from Florida Speedweeks to racing fans everywhere.”
Racers can purchase circle track products by going to JEGS.com or calling, 1-800-345-4545.
Speed51.com, presented by JEGS, will carry a black and yellow look throughout Florida Speedweeks. Fans will find live-updates daily in its “Trackside Now” program from New Smyrna Speedway from February 10 – 19 for the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing. Super Late Models, Modifieds, Late Models, Sprint Cars, SuperTrucks and the American Canadian Tour will all be competing at the track.
“If there are cars on the track, we’ll be giving you the latest updates on Speed51.com,” said Dillner.
In addition to 51’s Trackside Now updates, the largest pavement short track site in the country will also have photo galleries, videos and daily diaries with drivers participating at New Smyrna. Speed51.com will also have information from the dirt track scene in Florida with partnerships from other websites.
JEGS will also be the presenting sponsor of Speed 51 Radio broadcasts of several races during the 9-nights of racing. The schedule of radio broadcasts is still being determined, so stay tuned for more announcements.
