April will be a busy month within the American Speed Association Member Tracks and Sanctioned Series. Some have already started their 2011 season and some will wave their green flag this month.
"It is exciting to have more ASA Member Tracks and Series starting their 2011 season this month," Dennis Huth, ASA President said. "While most of our tracks in the South have started, we will start to see tracks in the Northwest, Midwest and Southwest get underway. Many tracks and series offering affordable family pricing, I hope many fans take advantage and see some entertaining short track races this season."

The ASA Truck Series will begin their 2011 season on Saturday, April 9 at Havasu 95 Speedway, an ASA Member Track in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Series owners Todd & Lisa McLauchlin have been busy answering the phone during the off-season from teams interested in being part of the series this season. They even have a race team from Australia interested in competing this season.
Corpus Christi Speedway, an ASA Member Track in Corpus Christi, TX will host the Third Annual Donnie Yocum Memorial on Saturday, April 9.
Yakima Speedway, an ASA Member Track in Yakima, WA, will open their 2011 season with their annual Apple Cup two-day event. The Late Model Street Stock Open, Legends, Sportsman, and Pure Stocks will be the featured divisions.
National Orange Show Speedway, an ASA Member Track in San Bernardino, CA will get their 2011 season rocking on Saturday, April 9 with their first California Speed Jams 2011 event. Racing will get underway at 4:00pm with the Late Models, Super Late Models, Super Stocks, Pony Stocks, and Factory 4's in action. Then after the racing action, Quiet Riot will take to the stage for a post-race concert.
Virginia Motor Speedway, an ASA Member Track in Jamaica, VA, will start their season with the Second annual Commonwealth 100 event on April 15-16. The World of Outlaw Late Models will be competing in a $25,000 to win race. In addition, there will be a $3000 to win non-qualifiers race.
Ace Speedway, an ASA Member Track in Altamahaw, NC, will present the Wild Wings Super Modifieds on Friday, April 15 as part of their Friday night program.
Meridian Speedway, an ASA Member Track in Meridian, ID, will open their 2011 season with a full racing program and bicycle races for the kids.
Grays Harbor Raceway, an ASA Member Track in Elma, WA, will have Sprints, Modifieds, Hobby Stocks, and Midgets as part of their season opener on Saturday, April 16.
Skagit Speedway, an ASA Member Track in Burlington, WA, will open their 57th season of racing on Saturday, April 16. They will have 410 & 360 Sprints, Sportsman Sprints and Hornets in action.
Desoto Super Speedway, an ASA Member Track in Bradenton, FL, will have the Hoosier Elite Super Late Models competing in a 100-lap feature event on Saturday, April 16.
Southern Oregon Speedway, an ASA Member Track in Medford, OR, will have the Pear Blossom Event to launch their 2011 season on Saturday, April 16. They will have a $1000 to win Modified feature along with Pro Stocks, Street Stocks, Super 4's, Dwarf Cars and Mini Stocks in action.
Firebird International Raceway's West Track will be busy during the weekend of April 22-24 as they will be hosting three ASA Series. The ASA Truck Series will have their only road course event on Saturday, April 23. ASA ProAutoSports and the ASA Bondurant Championship Racing Series will be competing all weekend.
Illiana Motor Speedway, an ASA Member Track in Schererville, IN, will open their 2011 season on Saturday, April 23. They will have Late Models, Turbo Stox, Legends and Pure Stocks competing every Saturday night.
Hartford Motor Speedway, an ASA Member Track in Hartford, MI, will get their season going on Friday, April 29 with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series competing in a $10,000 to win race.
Rocky Mountain Raceways, an ASA Member Track in West Valley City, UT, will get their oval track season underway on Saturday, April 30 with a full racing program. RMR fans will get to see 2010 Joe Gibbs Driven Racing Oil ASA Member Track National Champion Bryan Wordelman defend his title.
