Fans were treated to some great ASA Racing this past weekend. Some ASA Member Tracks also crowned some their 2011 champions.

ASA SANCTIONED SERIES
ASA IRA SPRINT CAR SERIES
Oshkosh SpeedZone (Oshkosh, WI)
Mike Kertscher held off Billy Balog and Donny Goeden to take the A-Main win this past Friday night. Balog has an 80-point lead over Mike Reinke in the standings are they are coming up on a big weekend of racing with three events scheduled.
ASA MEMBER TRACKS
ACE SPEEDWAY (Altamahaw, NC)
Barry Beggarly picked up the win in the Late Model 100-lap feature this past Friday night as he held off Jason York and John Moore for the win. Ross “Boo Boo” Dalton took the win over Dillon Bassett in the Limited Late Models. Chuck Wall won both of the Mini Stock feature events and David Walker won both of the Extreme feature events.
BIG COUNTRY SPEEDWAY (Cheyenne, WY)
Wyoming’s only asphalt track had some fun racing last Saturday night. Breann Adkison won the Warriors feature. Jade Miller held off Ben Moreau to win the Late Model feature. Greg Wallace won the Super Stock feature and Tom Davis took the checkers in the Mod 4’s.
CORPUS CHRISTI SPEEDWAY (Corpus Christi, TX)
Joshua McCain picked up another win in the Front Runners while Michael Villarreal took the checkers in the Bombers. Greg Carlucci, Sr. won in the Super Streets. Cody Beddoe won in the Sport Mods and Dillon Moseley won in the Gocarts.
DESOTO SUPER SPEEDWAY (Bradenton, FL)
Desoto was closed the past weekend but they will be back in action this Saturday night.
DILLON MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Dillon, SC)
Hurricane Irene forced officials to cancel the racing program this past weekend.
EAST BAY RACEWAY PARK (Tampa, FL)
East Bay was closed this past weekend but will be back in action this Saturday night.
GRAYS HARBOR RACEWAY (Elma, WA)
The Big E two-day event was this past weekend. On Friday, Roger Crockett won the ASCS 360 Sprints A-Main. Reece Goetz won the NW Wingless Sprint Tour A-Main and the Ford Focus Midgets A-Main. The results were exactly the same on Saturday as both Crockett and Goetz each swept the weekend.
HARTFORD MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Hartford, MI)
There was another great night of action this past Friday night. Jon Henry held off Guy Volk and JR Hotovy to win the UMP Late Model feature. Frank Marshall won in the UMP Modifieds. Ryan Flagel was the winner in the UMP Pure Stocks and Lee Price grabbed the win in the Stock Cars.
I-25 SPEEDWAY (Pueblo, CO)
I-25 Speedway was closed this past weekend and will be closed again this weekend for the annual State Fair.
ILLIANA MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Schererville, IN)
Blake Brown and Eddie Hoffman put on a great show for the fans this past Saturday night. Brown held off Hoffman by a margin of 0.064 seconds to take the Late Model feature win. Eddie Wolf won the Turbo Stox feature. Alex Arelano picked up another win in the Legends. Phil Salley won in the Pure Stocks and Stan Zolodz won in the Bandoleros.
LEBANON I-44 SPEEDWAY (Lebanon, MO)
A large Late Model field was on hand for the 'Back to School Bash' on Fohn's Furniture & Lawn Equipment Night at the Races, presented by Ariens & Gravely, on Saturday night, August 27. 'Jammin' Jimmy' Vanzandt of Springfield picked up his first ASA Late Model feature victory after winning his qualifying heat race earlier in the night. Nixa's Tyler Scott coasted across the finish line first in the Modified division, literally, as his car died coming out of turn four on the last lap. Toby Harden, Dustin Reeves, Shawn Jones, and Brad Stiffler were also victorious in their feature races.
LONESOME PINE RACEWAY (Coeburn, VA)
LPR was off this past weekend but will be back in action this Saturday night.
MARSHFIELD MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Marshfield, WI)
Jason Weinkauf and Randall Wilhorn each picked up feature wins this past Saturday night in the Super Late Model division. Clifford Eckes won the Motorcycle main event. Ryan Hinner won another Super Stock feature and now has a $1,000 bounty on him for this Saturday night.
MERIDIAN SPEEDWAY (Meridian, ID)
A big congratulations to everyone at Meridian Speedway this past Saturday night as over $13,000 was raised for injured racecar driver Jeff Russell. Mike Murgoitio won the Winged Sprints. Shelby Stroebel won the ASA Modified feature and wrapped up the 2011 track championship. Ray Bolinger won in the Mini Stocks. Colton Nelson won in the Hornets.
NEWPORT MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Newport, TN)
Newport was off this past weekend. They will back in action on Saturday night.
NORWAY SPEEDWAY (Norway, MI)
Bobby Rose won his first Late Model feature this past Saturday night holding off Tom Lindquist and Mike Reichenberger. Bill Delfosse held off Ryan Wender to win the Super Stock feature. Tyler Winling won in the DQ-Dogs.
ORANGE SHOW SPEEDWAY (San Bernardino, CA)
Barry Karr held off Adam Shackleford to win the Super Late Model feature this past Saturday night. Erik Spring won in the Pony Stocks while Dwayne Blay won in the Factory Fours. Jesse Lawson won in the Super Stocks. Brent Scheidemantle won in the Legends. Dan French won the Figure 8 main event. On Friday, Scheidemantle won the Legends feature while Ricky Lewis won in the Bandoleros.
RED RIVER SPEEDWAY (Wichita Falls, TX)
There was another hot night of racing this past Saturday night. David Dohme won the ThunderStock main event. Cale Garrison grabbed the checkers in the Chargers. Garrison also won in the Hornets and Matt Ohm won the Super Stock main event.
ROCKY MOUNTAIN RACEWAYS (West Valley City, UT)
The RMR Super Oval was off this past weekend but will be back in action this Saturday night.
SHANGRI-LA II MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Tioga Center, NY)
Jim Lamoreaux held off Joe Brown to win the ASA Late Model feature this past Saturday night. But it was Brown who claimed the 2011 championship. Tony Hanbury won the Sportsman championship. Jimmy Zacharias was crowned the 2011 champion. Gil Sharpsteen won the Street Stock main event. Lee Sharpsteen won the 2011 Championship. Congratulations to all!
SKAGIT SPEEDWAY (Burlington, WA)
Jesse Whitney held off Travis Jacobson to win the 410 Sprints main this past Saturday night. Mack Brown then held off Jacobson to win the 360 Sprint Main. Justin Youngquist won the Sportsman Sprints and Tyler Kethcum won in the Outlaw Hornets.
SOUTHERN OREGON SPEEDWAY (Medford, OR)
Matt Duste picked up the win in the Modifieds this past Saturday night. Dave Everson took the checkered flag in the Pro Stocks while John Derby won in the Mini Stocks. Jordan Braaten was the big winner in the Street Stocks.
STATE PARK SPEEDWAY (Wausau, WI)
Steve Holzhausen held off Bryan Reffner to win the Lodi Memorial this past Thursday night. Lyle Nowak won in the Super Stocks and Adam Eckes won in the Mini Mods.
VIRGINIA MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Jamaica, VA)
Virginia Motor Speedway was off this past weekend. They will be back in action this Saturday night.
WILMOT RACEWAY (Wilmot, WI
Tommy Sexton had a convincing win in the Sprints A-Main. Scott Kuxhouse won his third Modified A-Main. Jim Uttech Jr. was the big winner in the Street stocks. Erik Grosch won in the Pro 4’s.
YAKIMA SPEEDWAY (Yakima, WA)
Yakima was closed this past Saturday night. They will be back in action this Saturday
