Independence Day Weekend will be busy throughout the ASA Member Tracks and Sanctioned Series.  Some will host fireworks on top of the racing action.

Here is a look at what is happening this weekend.

ASA MIDWEST TRUCK TOUR
Madison International Speedway (Oregon, WI)

The popular Trucks will be in action on the popular half-mile oval on Friday night.  They will be a part of a big night of racing action and fireworks.  Will anyone stop the Lefthander Chassis Truck that has won every event so far this season.

ASA MIDWEST TOUR
Marshfield Motor Speedway (Marshfield, WI)

The popular Super Late Model tour will make their final visit to central Wisconsin this season with a 100-lap feature event on the half-mile oval.  Last year, Chris Wimmer held off Chris Weinkauf to win the event.  Also, Steve Holzhausen will be back behind the wheel for the first time since his accident last season.  Plus...FIREWORKS!!!

ASA INTERSTATE RACING ASSOCIATION SPRINT CAR SERIES
Dodge County Fairgrounds Speedway (Beaver Dam, WI)
141 Speedway (Francis Creek, WI)

The fast 410 Winged Sprints will be in action this Friday and Sunday in Wisconsin.  On Friday, they will have a rare duel feature event at Dodge County Fairgrounds Speedway.  Sunday they will over to 141 Speedway for an Independence Day Eve event.

ACE SPEEDWAY (Altamahaw, NC)

ASA sanctioned racing returns to East Bay Raceway Park on Saturday, July 9, 2011. It is $25 car load night and Fireworks this Friday night.  The UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, Stock Cars and Pure Stocks will be in action.  Front gates open at 6pm with Hot Laps at 7pm and Racing at 8pm.

I-25 SPEEDWAY (Pueblo, CO)

It will be a big night of action this Saturday night. The Grand American Modifieds, Street Stocks, Hornets and Legends will be in action.  Plus, this is a Legends National Qualifier event!  The evening will be capped off by a huge fireworks display.  It will be the only fireworks display in the Pueblo area. Racing gets underway at 6:00pm.

The 12th Annual Molenaar Memorial Classic and Mid-Season Championships are this Saturday night, plus fireworks with the Mad Bomber and five divisions of racing. Gates open at 4:00pm with racing at 7:00pm.

MERIDIAN SPEEDWAY (Meridian, ID)

ASA-sanctioned Meridian Speedway will offer three consecutive days of racing capped by a Monday night fireworks show for the Fourth of July holiday weekend. The racing starts on Saturday with the NAPA Late Model Sportsman division, Domino's Pizza Legends, Edmark Mini Stocks and Thunder Dogs sharing the track with another round of Spectacular Drags and Westby's Bike Races for Kids. Sunday is a matinee for the Legends as drivers get in some extra laps in preparation for Monday's national qualifier for the 2011 INEX Asphalt Nationals, which is set for Oct. 27-29 at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. In addition to the Legends national qualifier, Monday races will be held for the Mtn. Dew Winged Sprintcars, the ESI Express ASA Modifieds, the College of Western Idaho Professional Truck Driving Street Stocks and the Tates Rents Hornets. Stinker Stores and City of Meridian also have teamed up for the fireworks show at the end of the night. In the Modifieds, Nampa, Idaho's Shelby Stroebel continues to hold the track division lead and also chase the crown in the Joe Gibbs Driven Racing Oil ASA Membership Track National Championship. Stroebel is a close second in the national standings to Barry Beggarly of Ace Speedway in Altamahaw, N.C.

NEWPORT MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Newport, TN)

Newport Motor Speedway will get the 4th of July holiday started off right with a special Friday night event on July 1st.  There will be fireworks in the sky and excitement on the pavement as the Super Late Models take on twin 50-lap races.  Also on the card will be Street Stocks, Front Wheel Drives, Modified 4's, and Legends.  Gates will open at 2pm and the green flag will fall at 7:15 as it normally does.

NORWAY SPEEDWAY (Norway, MI)

The Roy Allard Memorial Classic is this Friday night.  There will be a full racing program and fireworks after racing. Qualifying at 6:00pm with Racing at 7:00pm.

ORANGE SHOW SPEEDWAY (San Bernardino, CA)

It will be a Fourth of July Weekend BBQ with Molly Hatchet.  This Saturday, the racing action will get underway at 3:00pm with the Super Late Models, Late Models, Super Stocks, Stock Car USA, Legends, Bandos and Pony Stocks.  Following the racing action, legendary rock group Molly Hatchet will take to the stage.

RED RIVER SPEEDWAY (Wichita Falls, TX)

Will be taking this weekend off to enjoy the holiday and will be back in action on Saturday, July 9.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN RACEWAYS (West Valley City, UT)

The USAC Western States Sprints and Midgets will be at RMR this Saturday night.  The Super Stocks, Figure 8's, and Figure 8 Trains will also be in action.  Plus Fireworks!  Gates open at 4:00pm with racing at 6pm.

SHANGRI-LA II MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Tioga Center, NY)

This Saturday night will be an opportunity to make up some events that were rained out earlier this year.  The ASA Late Model feature from June 25 will resume from lap 11, and the Street Stocks will have their RoC qualifier that was postponed, plus a full racing program.  Grandstands open at 5:30pm with Racing at 7:00pm.

The Speedway is closed this weekend to enjoy the holiday weekend.  They will be back in action on Saturday, July 9.

SOUTHERN OREGON SPEEDWAY (Medford, OR)

The Modifieds will have the Firecracker 50 with $1,000 to win this Saturday night.  The Pro Stocks, Dwarf Cars, and Mini Stocks are also in action. Grandstands open at 4:00pm with Racing at 6:00pm.

VIRGINIA MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Jamaica, VA)

The track will be closed this weekend to enjoy the holiday weekend.  They will be back in action on Saturday, July 9 with the Firecracker 30 and Fireworks.

There will be three big days of racing action this weekend.  On Saturday, the Super Late Models, Sportsman, Hornets, Youth Hornets and Bump to Pass will be in action.  On Sunday, the Washington Street Stock Challenge featuring the West Coast Promoters Street Stock Series, Pure Stocks, and Hornet Challenge will be on the schedule.  Monday will have a Demo Derby, Compact Car Derby and Hornets will be in action.
