An exciting weekend is scheduled all across the United State for ASA Racing. Three of the top ASA series will be in action and many ASA Member Tracks have tight point battles in different divisions. Great racing is expected all weekend long.
Here is a look at what is happening this weekend.
ASA SANCTIONED SERIES
ASA MIDWEST TOUR
Iowa Speedway (Newton, IA)
The Super Late Model stars of the Midwest will be the headliner on Friday night for the Sandvik Coromant 150 presented by Clinetool. This will be the third visit to the Rusty Wallace designed 7/8-mile oval. Tim Schendel won in 2008 and Chris Wimmer won the event in 2009. Green flag is scheduled to drop at 8:00pm with a post race concert featuring Jamey Johnson.
ASA NORTHWEST SPRINTCAR RACING SERIES
Ephrata Raceway Park (Ephrata, WA)
The fast asphalt winged sprint cars will be in action this Saturday night for the Rebel Jackson Memorial. Matt Hein holds a three-point lead over Sierra Jackson in the standings. Andy Alberding is only 15 points behind the leader as they reach the halfway point of their season.
ASA IRA SPRINT CAR SERIES
Dodge County Fairgrounds Speedway (Beaver Dam, WI)
The fast 410-winged sprints will be in action on the half-mile clay oval this Friday night. Billy Balog will be coming into the event with a 30-point lead over Mike Reinke.

ACE SPEEDWAY (Altamahaw, NC)
Join us this Friday, August 5th for Friday Night Racing at its finest with the Dick Shirley Chevrolet Late Models, the Strutmasters.com Limiteds, the King’s Auto Salvage Extremes, Street Stocks and the Mini Trucks. Gates open at 5:30pm. Admission is $12 for Adults, $8 for Students/Seniors with ID and free for kids 12 and under.
BIG COUNTRY SPEEDWAY (Cheyenne, WY)
Big Country is back in action this Saturday night. The Grand American Modifieds, High Plain Mods, Sportsman, Late Models, Super Stocks, Mod 4’s, Warriors, Super Lite Trucks, Bombers and Circle Drags will be in action. Racing starts at 6pm.
CORPUS CHRISTI SPEEDWAY (Corpus Christi, TX)
The Front Runners, Bombers, Super Streets, Sport Mods and Gocarts are in action this Saturday night. Plus there will be free kids rides in a stock car after the races and $1.25 Miller Lite and Coors Light all night long. Gates open at 6:00pm with racing at 8:00pm.
DESOTO SUPER SPEEDWAY (Bradenton, FL)
It is SYSCO Night this Saturday night. The Mini Stocks, Mod Minis, Flyin 4’s, Bombers, Magic 4’s, Pure 4’s, and Trophy Dash Cars will be in action. Racing gets underway at 7:00pm SHARP!
DILLON MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Dillon, SC)
Dillon Motor Speedway will be closed this coming Saturday, August 6th for a summer break. We'll see you at our next race on August 13th.
EAST BAY RACEWAY PARK (Tampa, FL)
ASA sanctioned racing returns to East Bay Raceway Park on Saturday, May 28, 2011. The program will include Q Auto & Injury Attorney Limited Late Models, Street Stocks, Daytona Antique Auto Racing Association, Street Stocks,Outlaw 4s, Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bombers and Dirt Daubers. Action gets underway at 6:30pm.
GRAYS HARBOR RACEWAY (Elma, WA)
A great night of dirt track racing is scheduled this Saturday night. The Modifieds, Midgets, Hobby Stocks and Hornets will be in action. The Super Late Models originally scheduled will not be competing this Saturday night.
HARTFORD MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Hartford, MI)
It is Autograph Night along with Powder Puff Spectator Drags this Friday night. The UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, Stock Cars and Pure Stocks will be in action. Gates open at 6pm with Racing at 8pm.
I-25 SPEEDWAY (Pueblo, CO)
The biggest Late Model race of the season is Saturday night, as they will be competing in a 100-lap Roger Nelson & Mark Zickafoose Memorial. Plus, the third annual Pit Stop competition along with the Sportsman, Mini Stocks, Charger Figure-8, and Street Stocks will also be in action. Racing starts at 6:00pm.
ILLIANA MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Schererville, IN)
The 11th Annual Race Fest is this Saturday night. The HOSS Outlaw Winged Sprints will be in action plus a night of features with five divisions racing. Gates open at 4:00pm with racing at 7:00pm.

LEBANON I-44 SPEEDWAY (Lebanon, MO)
Lebanon I-44 Speedway will continue the 2011 season of ASA-sanctioned stock car racing this Saturday night, August 6, on the track’s 3/8-mile high banked asphalt oval with another competitive racing show highlighted by a see-sawing Late Model championship points battle and a special ‘Faster Pastor’ race featuring four local ministers. Spectator gates will swing open at 5:00 pm, with the five-division stock car racing program scheduled to begin at 7:30.
LONESOME PINE RACEWAY (Coeburn, VA)
The Late Models, Chargers, Pure 4’s, Mod 4’s, Street Stocks, and Renegades will be in action this Saturday night. Plus, the annual Faster Pastor Race with the church that brings the most of its congregation will receive a donation from LPR. The main gate opens at 4pm with qualifying at 5pm and racing at 7pm.
MARSHFIELD MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Marshfield, WI)
A great night of racing is scheduled for this Saturday night as the Super Late Models will be competing in twin 25-lap feature events plus double points for the Bandits. The Super Stocks will also be in action with a $225 bounty on Ryan Hinner to try to end his win streak. No increase in admission. Racing gets underway at 6:30pm.
MERIDIAN SPEEDWAY (Meridian, ID)
The College of Western Idaho Professional Truck Driving 100 for Street Stocks sponsored by the same entity highlights Saturday’s action at ASA-sanctioned Meridian Speedway. The SPI Sprintcar tour returns to the track for another series installment on a Racing For Smiles of the Northwest Night. RFSNW honors a child with a tour of the pits and the honor of trophy presenter all night long. ESI Express ASA Modifieds series leader Shelby Stroebel of Nampa, Idaho, will continue to chase the Joe Gibbs Driven Racing Oil ASA Member Track National Championship, and the Jr. Stingers will compete again. Also on tap is the Jack Links Snack Attack.
NEWPORT MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Newport, TN)
The Late Model Sportsman division returns after a short hiatus to continue the heated battle for the top of the heap. David Flynn, Wayne Webb, and Zack Franks are locked up in a three-way battle for the points lead, which could have national implications. They will be competing in Twin 35-lap feature events. Plus the Street Stocks, Front Wheel Drive, Modified 4-Cylinder, Legends, Mini Cups and Trophy Dash Cars will be in action. Racing gets underway at 7:15pm.
NORWAY SPEEDWAY (Norway, MI)
The 111-lap Stateline Challenge for the Late Models and the Mid-American Stock Car Series highlight the racing action this Friday night. Qualifying at 5:30pm with Racing at 7:00pm.
ORANGE SHOW SPEEDWAY (San Bernardino, CA)
A fan will have a chance to win $25,000 this Saturday night. A full racing program is scheduled with a local radio DJ’s race, Super Late Models, Late Models, Super Stocks, Stock Car USA, Pony Stocks, Factory 4’s, Stock Car USA Figure 8’s and Pony & Factory 4 mixed Figure 8’s. If that is not all, there is also a drift exhibition. Gates open at 5:00pm with racing at 7:00pm.
RED RIVER SPEEDWAY (Wichita Falls, TX)
The USST Trucks, Southern 4 Cylinders, Super Stocks, Thunderstocks, Chargers and Hornets will be in action this Saturday night. Gates open at 6:00pm with racing at 8:00pm.
ROCKY MOUNTAIN RACEWAYS (West Valley City, UT)
An action packed night of racing is scheduled for this Saturday night. The Sprints, Modifieds, Mini Cups, Figure 8’s, and Figure 8 Trains will be in action. Racing begins at 6:00pm.
SHANGRI-LA II MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Tioga Center, NY)
It’s Racing and Movie Night this Saturday night at the “Concrete Castle.” The Street Stocks, Sport Mods, ASA Late Models, and Trucks will be in action. Then after the racing action, a big movie screen will be brought out to the track for a showing of “Days of Thunder.” Racing will begin at 7:00pm.
SKAGIT SPEEDWAY (Burlington, WA)
This weekend is the 22nd Annual Bob's Burgers and Brew 360 Nationals at Skagit Speedway. Defending champion Travis Jacobson will be here seeking his second straight title against the likes of Jason Solwold, Rod Perkins, Alan Munn and a host of others. Gates open at 5:30 pm with racing at 7:00 pm both Friday and Saturday August 5th and 6th.
SOUTHERN OREGON SPEEDWAY (Medford, OR)
The Modifieds, Late Models, Street Stocks, Dwarf Cars, and Mini Stocks will be racing this Saturday night. Grandstands open at 4:00pm with Racing at 6:00pm.
STATE PARK SPEEDWAY (Wausau, WI)
State Park Speedway will be back in action on Thursday, August 11 with a 75-lap feature for the Late Models.
VIRGINIA MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Jamaica, VA)
Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway returns to action this Saturday August 6th for host Pepsi, WXGM Night featuring four divisions of Virginia Army National Guard Dirt Series action. See the Victory Lap Late Model, Truckin Thunder Sportsman, Budweiser Modifies and the Collision One Limited Stock divisions. Come experience the raw, pure excitement that is dirt racing! Competitor gates for Saturday, August 6th will open at 4pm with spectator gates opening at 5pm. On track activities will begin at 6:30pm with hot laps.
WILMOT RACEWAY (Wilmot, WI)
The Wilmot Raceway goes racing this Saturday night August 6th with a 5 Division program featuring Sprints, Modifieds, Mini-Sprints, Street Stocks, and F4s. Racing starts around 7pm.
YAKIMA SPEEDWAY (Yakima, WA)
AUGUST 6TH SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE RACES PRESENTED BY FEDERATED AUTO PARTS. Featuring The Burger Ranch Sportsman/Hobby Stock Challenge which will include 75 laps of racing, 50 laps with a break and then a 25 lap shootout. Also the H & H Furniture Purestocks, CWI Security & EZ Credit Auto Sales Hornets and the Mel's Diner Bump To Pass. Gates open at 4pm, opening ceremonies at 6pm with side by side racing action to follow.
