Many ASA Member Tracks and Sanctioned Series will be in action this Labor Day weekend.  This will be a great opportunity for families to enjoy some great racing action together.

Here is a look at what is happening this weekend.

ASA SANCTIONED SERIES

ASA ADVANCED TESTING BRITISH COLUMBIA LATE MODEL TOUR
Western Speedway (Victoria, BC, Canada)

The first ASA Advance Testing BC Late Model Tour Champion will be crowned this Saturday night.  The Canada 200 is one of the most prestigious Late Model events in British Columbia.  The racing excitement will keep you on the edge of your seat!  Tom Berrow comes into the event with a two-point lead over Geoff Morris and a six-point lead over Dave Hemrich.  Brent Morris is fourth, only 16 points behind Berrow.

ASA TRUCK SERIES
The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

The ASA Truck Series is kicking off their Labor Day Weekend Vegas style!!!  The fast trucks of the Southwest will be competing at The Bullring this Saturday night.  Taylor Miinch continues to lead Jeff Catlin by 54 points heading into this weekend’s action.

PROAUTOSPORTS SANCTIONED BY ASA
Inde Motorsports Ranch (Wilcox, AZ)

After taking the summer off, the popular road course club will be back in action on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the ASA Member Track in Wilcox, AZ.  The on track action starts at 9:00am on Friday and 8:00am on Saturday and Sunday.

ASA IRA SPRINT CAR SERIES
Dodge County Fairgrounds Speedway (Beaver Dam, WI)

141 Speedway (Francis Creek, WI)

There will be three big events in three days for the fast 410-Winged sprint cars.  On Friday, they will visit Dodge County Fairgrounds Speedway in Beaver Dam, WI.  On Saturday, they head over to Sheboygan County Fair Park in Plymouth, WI and Sunday at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek, WI.

ASA MEMBER TRACKS

ACE SPEEDWAY (Altamahaw, NC)

A big weekend of racing is coming up!  On Saturday, the PASS Series will be in action.  Then on Monday, “The Madhouse Meltdown” with Modifieds competing in Twin 55’s to help celebrate the track’s 55th anniversary season.  An individual ticket for each is $15, but you can purchase a combo ticket for $25.  Visit the track’s website for more information.

BIG COUNTRY SPEEDWAY (Cheyenne, WY)
The racing action will be this Sunday at 4pm.  The Mod Coupes, High Plain Mods, Super Mods, Grand American Modifieds, Super Stocks, Warriors, Super Lite Trucks, Bombers, and a Mod 4 Pie Race is on the schedule. Adults are $9.00, Seniors are $7.00, Children 6-12 are $5.00 and children 5 and under are FREE!

CORPUS CHRISTI SPEEDWAY (Corpus Christi, TX)

This Saturday, the mechanics get to test the waters and drive what they work on in the mechanics race.  The Front Runners, Bombers, Super Streets, Sport Mods and Gocarts will be win action.  Adult admission is $10.00 with children 12 & under getting FREE admission. Gates open at 6:00pm with racing at 8:00pm.

DESOTO SUPER SPEEDWAY (Bradenton, FL)

The BEST Memorial Bombers 50-lap feature highlights the action this Saturday night along with the Buses!!!  Plus, the Trucks, Flyin 4’s, Magic 4’s, Rookie Trucks, Pure Stocks and Trophy Dash Cars will be in action.  Normal weekly and times are: Ages 13 & up is $15.00, ages 12 & under are FREE!  Racing gets underway at 7:00pm SHARP!

DILLON MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Dillon, SC)

The 5th Annual Labor Day Monday 200 is this Monday with FREE GRANDSTAND ADMISSION for all.  The Late Models, Super Trucks, 4-Cylinders, Chargers, Street Stocks, UCAR, and Mini Cups will all be in action.  Qualifying at 3pm with racing at 5pm. Plus, fans will also get a free hot dog and drink!

EAST BAY RACEWAY PARK (Tampa, FL)

The next scheduled night of racing is September 3, 2011 with Late Models back in action. Along with them will be the East Bay Sprints, Street Stocks, Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bombers, Dirt Daubers, and the Popular Fan Participation races. Don’t forget, August 25th is open practice for all classes from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Grandstand Admission is FREE to watch. Weekly admission is: Adults are $12, Seniors 55 & up are $10.00, Teens 13-17 with ID is $7.00, and kids 12 & under are FREE with paying adult!

GRAYS HARBOR RACEWAY (Elma, WA)

There will be two great nights of racing this weekend.  On Saturday, the Street Stocks, Hobby Stock Open, Midgets and Hornets will be in action.  On Sunday, the Sprints will have a $2,000 to win main event along with the Midgets, Street Stocks, Hobby Stocks Open and Hornets in action.  Adult admission for each night is $13, Juniors 15-18/Miltary is $10.00, Youths 6-14 is $5.00, Family Pass (2 Adults and up to 4 youths) is $30.00, and Premium ticket is $20.00.  Racing starts at 6:30pm each night.

It is Senior Citizen night this Friday night.  The UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, Stock Cars and Pure Stocks will be in action. Gates open at 6pm with racing at 8pm. Adult admission is $10, kids 10 & under is FREE!

I-25 SPEEDWAY (Pueblo, CO)

I-25 Speedway will be closed this weekend and next weekend for the State Fair.  They will be back in action on September 10.  Weekly times and admission are: Racing starts at 6:00pm. Adult admission is $10.00; Ages 4-12 is $5.00, kids 4 and under are FREE!

ILLIANA MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Schererville, IN)

This Saturday night is Season Championship Night.  The 2011 champions will be crowned! Five divisions will be in action on the half-mile and quarter-mile asphalt ovals. Adult admission is $12.00, Kids 8-12 is $5.00, 7 & under are FREE! Gates open at 4:00pm with racing at 7:00pm.

LEBANON I-44 SPEEDWAY (Lebanon, MO)

A special 50-lap feature race for ASA Feature Division Late Models, the ‘Coca-Cola World 50,’ will highlight the ‘Kickin’ Asphalt’ stock car racing show at Lebanon I-44 Speedway this Saturday night, September 3rd.  Spectator gates will swing open at 5:00 pm, with the five-division ASA racing program scheduled to start at 7:30 on the track’s 3/8-mile high-banked asphalt oval.  Saturday night will also mark the final 2011 appearance by the OMSRA ‘Outlaw’ Mini Stocks, based in the Kansas City area, at the Laclede County oval. Grandstand admission is $10 for Adults, ages 16 and older, while Adult admission in tier parking is $12.  Discounted admission for Seniors (ages 65 and older), Military personnel, and Juniors (ages 11-15) is offered in both locations.  A grandstand Family Pass for 2 Adults and 2 Juniors plus any number of Kids 10 and younger is available for $25, while six Adults entering in the same vehicle on tier parking will be admitted on the ‘Budweiser Wild Side’ for $60.  Following a longstanding track tradition, admission for children ages 10 and younger remains free at I-44 Speedway.

LONESOME PINE RACEWAY (Coeburn, VA)

Come out and join us on Saturday, September 3 for Back to School Night at the Pine.  UARA Stars will be here for their second race this year along with fireworks as well as giving school supplies out to the kids.  Dave Vaught the Magician will also be here for a show and walk around in the crowd.  The Chargers, Mod 4’s, Pure 4’s, Street Stocks, and Renegades will also be in action.  Racing starts at 7pm.  Adults are $15, Children 7-12 are $5, Children 6 & under are FREE.  There is also a special family pack of two adults and two kids (ages 7-12) for $35.

MARSHFIELD MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Marshfield, WI)

The Yellow River Racing Series returns this Saturday night for Twin 35-lap features. The Super Stocks will have a 30-lap feature event with a $1,000 bounty on Ryan Hinner. The 4-Cylinders and Bandits will also be in action.  Racing gets underway at 6:30pm. Adult admission ages 15 & up is $12.00, Students 9-14 is $6, Children 8 & under is FREE.

MERIDIAN SPEEDWAY (Meridian, ID)

Two regional racing tours will bring their record-setting acts to ASA-sanctioned Meridian Speedway for the Labor Day weekend. On Saturday, the Intermountain Pro Trucks presented by Champion Produce run as part of the Project Filter 99 for the NAPA Late Model Sportsman division at the historic quarter-mile paved oval. The NAPA Late Model Sportsman drivers kick off their championship weekend by chasing a total purse of $3,000 in a segment race. Other classes on tap Saturday include the College of Western Idaho Professional Truck Driving Street Stocks and the Domino’s Pizza Legends. Spectacular Drags also will be staged. On Sunday, the SPI Sprintcars — formerly known as the Idaho Sprintcar and Roadster League — runs its championship night at Meridian. Also on Tates Rents Appreciation Night, the NAPA Late Model sportsman division drivers race their season finale. The Project Filter Pro-4s, Jr. Stingers and Thunder Dogs also will compete. The final Westby’s Bike Races for Kids event also will be held. Jerry Rice of Twin Falls, Idaho, mimicked his Pro Football Hall of Fame namesake, and ran to the Meridian track record of 14.808 seconds in the first Pro Trucks series appearance at Meridian in July. Bruce Gillogly of Nampa, Idaho, shattered Bob Bachman’s ISRL track record in the Kuna, Idaho legend’s own racecar the last time the six-cylinder sprinters were in town. Gillogly ran a 13.619 lap. Gates open at 4 p.m. with racing at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults, $7.50 for senior citizens and military personnel with ID, $6 for ages 7-11 and children 6-and-under free. A family pass good for two adults and up to four children ages 7-11 is available for $30.

NEWPORT MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Newport, TN)

After a few weeks off, the Late Model Sportsman division is back in action this Saturday night with another pair of twin 35-lap features.  Plus the Street Stocks, Front Wheel Drive, Mod 4, Legends and Mini Cups will be in action. Racing gets underway at 7:15pm.

NORWAY SPEEDWAY (Norway, MI)

Season champions will be crowned this Sunday night.  The Late Models will be competing in a 100-lap feature event.  All divisions will be in action.  Plus, the Dickinson County Fair will be happening as well! Racing starts at 6:00pm. Adult admission is $10, Children is $5.00.

The North Texas Shootout will take place from September 6-11. Six days of racing featuring Legends and Bandoleros.  Gates open at 6:00pm with racing at 8:00pm. Adult admission is $10.00, Seniors/Military/High School & College students are $8.00, Ages 7-14 is $5.00 with under 7 is FREE!

ROCKY MOUNTAIN RACEWAYS (West Valley City, UT)

The Super Oval action returns this Saturday night and Monday night at RMR.  On Saturday, the Sprints, Super Stocks, Ford Focus Midgets, Figure 8 and Figure 8 Trains will be in action. VIRGINIA MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Jamaica, VA)

Virginia Motor Speedway continues in its efforts to help in the recovery process from Hurricane Irene. Currently the speedway grounds are being used as a staging area for Dominion Virginia Power line crews as they help in restoring power to the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck communities. Some 250 utility trucks are expected to call the pit parking area home until power is restored to the area.

WILMOT RACEWAY (Wilmot, WI)

This Saturday night, September 3rd, featuring the Tommy Homan Memorial. Adult grandstand tickets are just $10, and kids 11 & under are FREE. In addition to the big $553 to win Tommy Homan Memorial event for the RA Adams Enterprises Street Stocks, a full program of Don's Auto & Machine Modifieds, Fec's Place Mini Sprints, and Hawg Heaven Fearless 4's will be contested. With just two point races remaining in the season long championship point battle, there should some great racing as titles are on the line. In addition to the increased winners share in Street Stock class, each car finishing 2nd thru 12th will receive an additional $53 in honor of the car #53 Tommy Homan piloted so successfully in the Wilmot Street Stock division. The Labor Day Weekend Spectacular is this Sunday with the Akland Irrigation 100.
