Busch, Benson, Pollard and Other Stars Enter CRA June 21st special
Team PR Report

The youngster Josh Hobson who is competing in his first full time season of stock car racing competition, is set to make his biggest career start. Josh Hobson Racing (JHR) has announced their entry into the third annual Rowdy 251 at the Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan.

The CRA Super Series sanctioned showdown will take place on Tuesday night, June 21, following the NASCAR race weekend at the Michigan International Speedway. The 251-lap race will become both the first, and longest Champion Racing Association Super Series event Hobson will participate in to date.

The race, which is named for NASCAR stand out Kyle Busch, is the largest template late model event in the Midwest and amongst the biggest anywhere in the nation. Busch himself, along with fellow former NASCAR Champion Johnny Benson Jr. are both entered to compete. Other big names include Chase Elliott, Ross Kenseth, Ryan Blaney, Brian Ickler, Tim Steele, Brian Campbell, John VanDoorn, Andy Ponstein, Hunter Robbins and Chris Anthony are amongst the over 40 entries.

"I couldn't be more excited to racing than I am for Berlin on Tuesday," said Hobson.  "The talent pool of drivers and the coverage and size of the event is amazing.  Our Josh Hobson Racing team has worked extremely hard to be prepared to race with the best drivers in the nation.  We hope that our Boyne Machine Ford will be fast enough to run with Busch, Pollard and others."

Hobson participated in several super late model events in 2009 and 2010, before moving full time to Berlin Raceway in a Sundrop Citrus Soda sponsored Super Stock for car owner Rodney Beach in 2011. JHR has also entered and brought home two top-10 finishes in the new Premier Boyne Machine Super Lates series at Berlin earlier this season, which has enabled the team to gain valuable experience and knowledge to race in The Rowdy 251.

Support from Boyne Machine, XLT Engineering, American Dumpster Service, Dome Corporation, TrackTek and Capital Granite have all helped to enable Josh Hobson Racing to enter the #10 Ford Fusion in this prestigious event. JHR is still in search of additional marketing partners for the event as well as the remainder of the 2011 race season. For more information on JHR, please visit
