Top Drivers Lining Up To Run At Lanier SPEEDFEST
Southeastern Late Model Season Kicks Off This Weekend

Red Top Auto Auction SPEEDFEST 2011 at Lanier National Speedway is getting closer and the drivers are lining up to run at short track racings first major event of the season. Drivers from all over the country are looking to compete at one of short track racings premier and historic facilities. The feature events during SPEEDFEST 2011 are the Rheem Super Truck 100 on Saturday night with the Lanier Pro Late Model 150 and CRA Super Late Model 200 running Sunday afternoon.
As of this date Lanier has commitments from Sprint Cup drivers David Regan and Aric Almirola. Also signed up to run at Lanier this weekend are some of Georgia’s local favorites. Jason Hogan, who has run in the Southern All-star Series along with a variety of NASCAR’s series and Kyle Busch Racing developmental driver T.J. Reaid from Acworth. Bubba Polard from Senoia, GA, who has run in the GAS and Southern All-star Series, expects to run in both the Lanier Pro Late Models and the CRA Super Late Model features. Another Lanier favorite will be former track champion Dwayne Buggay who has previously run in the ASA Series, ARCA Series and the Hooters Pro Cup Series. As an added twist to this years competitors,
Lanier will have three of NASCAR Sprint Cup driver’s kids running. Former Sprint Cup Champions Bill Elliott and Matt Kenseth son’s Chase and Ross will be running with Ryan Blaney son of Dave Blaney.
This type of racing blood will bring a mix of veterans and new young guns that has never before been on one track. Things will get pretty exciting as the veterans try to keep their elite status and the young guns try to
prove themselves, who is going to come out the winner.
Schedule for Red Top Auto Auction SPEEDFEST 2011 is, practice from 12 to 5 on Friday, open to the public. Saturday is qualifying and the Rheem Super Truck 100 with pit gates opening at 9am and the grandstand and trackside parking opening at 4pm.
