Marlin Tells Fairgrounds Supports to Hit The Streets
Public Meeting is Set For Tuesday Night
A Letter to Fans of the Nashville Fairgrounds
A dedicated group of racing people have been hard at work in Nashville, Tennessee trying to save the Tennessee State Fairgrounds property that includes the historic Fairgrounds Speedway.  Among them is former Daytona 500 winner Sterling Marlin - who sent out this e-mail today to help mobilize support for the Fairgrounds at a Tuesday night public meeting.

Friends:

As you may know, the final public hearing and vote to save our Fairgrounds and racetrack will be held tonight.

Some of you left comments on the "online petition".  We've been told virtually no Council Members are reading those comments.  Some Council Members have said they are not reading your emails, just counting them.  Others have said they are receiving too many phone calls to listen to them all.  Councilwoman At-Large Megan Barry said her voicemail was filling up faster than she could download it and suggested people email her instead (even people without email).

My point: there is only ONE WAY to make your voice heard - SHOW UP TONIGHT.

It's that simple, and it's that hard.
