Bubba Pollard Looking for Third 2011 GMP WIn at World Crown
18 Wins and Counting for Red Hot Georgia Driver
With 18 wins during the 2011 season, including two Super Late Model victories at Gresham Motorsports Park (GA), Senoia, Georgia, racer Bubba Pollard has had an incredible year behind the wheel. However, there is one event’s victory lane that has eluded Pollard over the years, and on Sunday, November 13th, he will try to check that off his “to do” list as he races in the Super Late Model portion of the 28th-Annual Rheem World Crown.
Pollard went to victory lane in the PASS South Super Late Model Series event in July at Gresham Motorsports Park, and then followed that up with a CRA Super Late Model Series victory there in September.
“The season we have had so far has been spectacular to us,” said Pollard. “To pull off a victory in the World Crown in our backyard, where we have been trying to get for the past couple of years would be special. We have been fast there, so hopefully we will have a good run.”
Besides running the Super Late Model, Pollard will also try to double up during the weekend, entering a car in the Pro Late Model event.
“I always like to run as many races as I can. It is more work, but the more seat time the better.”
