FLUIDYNE "Cool Under Pressure" Award
Who Handled the Pressure the Best This Month?
As Decided by a Panel of Industry Insiders for Speed51.com
There was a lot of great racing these past few weeks between NASCAR Whelen Modifieds, big Super Late Model shows in the Midwest, some tight point battles coming down to the wire all across the country.

There were just as many pressure-filled moments in those races, as well.  Some drivers came through and thrived under pressure, while others weren't able to take the heat.  Staying cool under pressure is often the difference between winning and losing both in the driver's seat and under the racecar's hood.  While a driver has to remain cool under pressure, so does his or her racecar, which is why FLUIDYNE's line of innovative cooling products for a wide variety of cooling applications have become the racer's choice.

Fittingly, FLUIDYNE is presenting a new FLUIDYNE "Cool Under Pressure Award" on Speed51.com.  An esteemed panel of industry insiders voted on which driver remained the coolest when the heat was on.  Votes didn't necessarily have to be for the best win, rather someone who remained cool under pressure to prevail with a win, strong finish or another achievement.

The winner of each FLUIDYNE "Cool Under Pressure Award" will receive a product certificiate from FLUIDYNE.  Check out www.fluidyne.com for the latest products and information on staying cool.

The winner of this edition of the FLUIDYNE "Cool Under Pressure Award" is...

Boris Jurkovic
CRA Super Series / Winchester 400

Making comeback can be a "tall" order and sometimes it takes a "tall" driver to pull off such a feat.  There was no "tall" tale to this one though at Boris Jurkovic, the 6-foot-3-inch standout Super Late Model driver made history on Sunday in the Winchester 400. Drivers have made comebacks, but Jurkovic made up two laps and didn't lead until the high five from the flagman was in the air.

Right before the 300-lap mark, Jurkovic spun and found himself two laps down.  At one point, event scorers thought he was three back, but later it was discovered that it was only two.  Jurkovic made up the laps, got tires and worked his way to a distant third.  All he could do at that point was wait for a caution period.

When that yellow flew, Jurkovic closed up on the leaders and took his opportunity.  He went from third to second when Chase Elliott pitted, setting Jurkovic up for a side-by-side battle for the lead.  Jurkovic then took the lead on the second-to-last restart and held off two bright youngsters with ice water in his vanes to win the Winchester 400 in a thrilling finish.

For his performance in the Winchester, Boris Jurkovic was voted as this month's winner of the FLUIDYNE "Cool Under Pressure Award" by our panel.  Jurkovic will receive a product certificate from FLUIDYNE, the leader in innovative cooling products for a wide variety of cooling applications.
